Coimbatore

“Ondipudur rides the airport expansion wave with a 16.1% six-month jump, but flight-path noise and Singanallur's traffic snarl keep this from being a pure residential play.”

The Good

1Price climbed 16.1% in six months to ₹5,125/sqft — rare momentum in Coimbatore's otherwise sleepy market.
2Coimbatore International Airport expansion is under construction, and you're in the commercial catchment zone.
3Trichy Road widening is done, and the Singanallur railway station upgrade is approved — connectivity boxes checked.
4Airport commercial zone and Singanallur market hub anchor local employment; this corridor has organic activity beyond builder hype.

The Bad

1Zero active listings in our data — liquidity is a question mark if you need to exit fast.
2Noise pollution from the airport flight path is a documented corridor risk; not ideal if you value quiet evenings.
3Traffic congestion near Singanallur junction can turn a short commute into a test of patience during peak hours.

The Ugly

1Higher commercial-versus-residential mix means your street may feel more like a showroom strip than a neighborhood.
2Heat score sits at 44 — balanced, not hot — so don't expect every buyer to fight over your unit when you sell.
3Airport proximity cuts both ways: great for business travel, brutal for Sunday sleep-ins under the approach corridor.

The Verdict

6/ 10

Strong six-month gain and real infrastructure, but flight-path noise and commercial creep limit pure residential upside.

Screenshot-Worthy Takeaway

Ondipudur's 16% jump is real, but living under an airport approach path is the rent you pay for connectivity.
