Siruseri is a rapidly developing IT and residential hub in South Chennai, located along the prestigious Old Mahabalipuram Road corridor approximately 35 kilometres from the city centre. The locality is anchored by the SIPCOT IT Park, one of Asia's largest technology parks spanning over 780 acres, which houses major multinational corporations including TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, and Hexaware Technologies. This concentration of IT employment has transformed Siruseri into a professional-centric neighbourhood with strong housing demand from the tech workforce. The upcoming Chennai Metro Purple Line, expected to commence operations by late 2026, will further enhance connectivity with dedicated stations serving Siruseri and SIPCOT. Currently, the locality is well-served by MTC buses and the OMR expressway, providing access to Sholinganallur, Chennai International Airport, and other IT hubs. Siruseri offers a mix of modern gated communities, apartments, and independent villas set amidst relatively green surroundings with proximity to several lakes. The area benefits from essential infrastructure including schools, hospitals, and parks, though residents note occasional challenges with traffic congestion during peak hours and intermittent water supply in some pockets. Overall, Siruseri presents an attractive option for IT professionals seeking proximity to their workplaces combined with relatively affordable housing compared to inner-city Chennai localities.
